Mysterious Plate

An example of a titular Mysterious Plate

Mysterious Plates (神秘のプレート) are legendary artifacts that appear in the original Tamagotchi! anime series. They contain ancient Tama Hearts and are found throughout Tamagotchi Planet.

Appearance[]

The Mysterious Plates resemble stained glass murals or frescos. They generally depict things related to the Tama Heart they contain, such as the plate containing the Flame Heart having a picture of a campfire. Some of the plates are in plain sight while many others are invisible and only appear when a strong bond is formed near them. Once activated, they release their Tama Heart and disappear, making it impossible to obtain a second heart afterwards, should the Tamagotchi missed collecting the heart.

In the Anime[]

Tamagotchi![]

The first Mysterious Plate appeared in "Formation! Tama Profy", being seen as a decoration in the castle courtyard. It shines during Lovelitchi and Melodytchi's performance of Happy Heart and releases an ancient Tama Heart after the formation of their Tama Profys. Princess Tamako explains the significance of the Tama Hearts and tells Lovelitchi and Melodytchi that they must be destined to collect them all. From then on, the Tama-friends would come across other Mysterious Plates in their adventures.

When the Tama-friends first visit Ha Island in "Full of Mystery!? Ha Island and Hatokamitchi", Hatokamitchi has Kizunatchi let out all the Tama Heart she collected so they can summon a mysterious plate from a fountain. However, the plate only makes it up halfway before completely freezing and returning to the fountain's depths. Hatokamitchi notes that it'll require more hearts to fully take it out and encourages them to collect more.

In "The Mysterious Beginning of the Vanishing Tama-Hearts", Mametchi finds a passage that says "When the mysterious plates gather, the Tama Hearts cause a miracle". He and his friends try to figure out what this means, but are unable to find any answers. In "Tamagotchi Planet's Pinch! Can Kizunatchi Save It!?" they realize that collecting all the mysterious plates is the key to curing Tamagotchi Planet of the Eggification curse. The ritual to cure the egg curse is started by Hatokamitchi who activates the heart pillars on Ha island and summons all the mysterious plates there.

Kizunatchi finishes the ritual in "The Power of the Bond" by placing the mysterious plates and ancient Tama Hearts into the heart pillars. The plates are sent up into space where they surround Tamagotchi Planet to break the curse and restore all eggified Tamagotchis to normal. The process also brings back all the lost Kizuna Tama Hearts that faded away.
