Her name is derived from nanahoshitentou (七星天道虫), Japanese for the seven-spotted variety of ladybug.

Nanahotchi has a red body patterned with black dots like a ladybug. She has red cheeks, a v-shaped mouth, dark eyes, and two small bumps on her head.
