Nyorotchi (にょろっち) is an adult-stage character that debuted on the original Tamagotchi. He can also be raised on the Tamagotchi Mini and the Tamagotchi Version 2, but on the modern virtual pet toys, he has so far only made NPC appearances. However, he could be raised in some of the mobile apps. He was present in the 15th Anniversary Character Poll as a possible male character.
Appearance
He resembles Kuchitamatchi with a blue head and a long, wriggling tail-like body. Some of his sprites show that he can coil his body like a snake. He can also twist it like a spring. In his US art, he is red. On the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. app, he can also be pink or orange.
His modern artwork gave him circular, light blue cheeks. These can be seen in his Tamagotchi m!x sprite and Line de Hakken artwork, but not in his iD L or Meets sprites.
Personality
Nyorotchi is obsessed with food, and will not like it if he isn't fed. However, he will become sick if he eats too much. Any kind of food pleases him. Nyorotchi is a frail Tamagotchi who is not very likely to have a long life.
The Nintendo Power guide to the Tamagotchi Gameboy game stated: "Nyorotchi is the weakest of the adult types. It's often ill and always hungry. It complains a lot, and neither praise nor discipline will help it."
On the McDonald’s Tamagotchi Toyz Happy Meal bags, Nyorochi is described as “Skinny but always hungry!”
The “What’s a Tamagotchi?” song from Tamagotchi Video Adventures states “Forgive his manners at big meals, Nyorotchi does just what he feels!”

Tamagotchi Generation 1
Nyorotchi can come from either Tamatchi or Kuchitamatchi either by taking average care of Kuchitamatchi or taking poor care of Tamatchi. Nyorotchi is the second worst character, and may pass away after a few days. Nyorotchi sleeps at 10 PM and wakes up at 9 AM.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 2
Nyorotchi is one of three possible adults that can be earned on odd generations through average care. Its favorite food is potatoes, and it dislikes cherries. It sleeps from 10 PM to 8 AM.
Tamagotchi Mini
Nyorotchi is the worst adult obtainable, and can evolve into Oyajitchi. Consistently allowing Marutchi's stats to deplete completely and therefore garner a reaction to the C button will cause it to evolve into Nyorotchi regardless of how much time passes following hunger or happiness becoming empty. He wakes up at 9am and he goes to sleep at 10pm.

Nyorotchi can appear at the park between the hours of 10:00 until 10:59.
Tamagotchi m!x
Nyorotchi is an NPC that appears at Professor Banzo's Laboratory on the 20th Anniversary and Gift versions. He appears if the user's Tamagotchi uses the lab's Time Machine.
Tamagotchi Meets
Nyorotchi only appeared as a guest on the Tamagotchi Meets app. He could not be married.

Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi
Nyorotchi appeared in the second episode. He keeps stealing Mametchi's food at a restaurant, much to Mametchi's chagrin. He eats so much that he gets sick, and an ambulance arrives. After Nyorotchi receives an injection, he feels better and the Tamagotchis share food together.
Tamagotchi Video Adventures
During the expedition to Earth, Nyorotchi is paired up with Bill. The two bring a tape player back to the planet, which pleases Cosmotchi.

Name Origin
Nyorotchi's name comes from the Japanese word "nyoronyoro", which is onomatopoeia for wriggling or slithering. Also, the tilde (~) is known as nyoro in Japan.

- Nyorotchi is the only character from the P1 that does not appear in Tamagotchi Town.
- Nyorochi’s name is correctly pronounced “Nyo-Roh-Chee.” However, in Tamagotchi video adventures, his name is mispronounced as “Ny-oh-roh-chee.” This same error is also present on the McDonald’s Tamagotchi Toyz Happy Meal bags, which included a pronunciation guide for twelve different Tamagotchi. It is unclear why this mistake was so persistent!
