Octopatchi (おくとぱっち Okutopatchi) is a male Tamagotchi character from Guruguru Town.
Name Origin[]
Octopatchi's Japanese name is based on the word okutopasu (オクトパス), which is the Japanese transliteration of the English word 'octopus'. His English name is also based on the word octopus, but is also somewhat based on the Japanese romanization, since it uses "pa" instead of "pu".
Appearance[]
Octopatchi resembles a large red octopus with dark oval-shaped eyes and a pink beak. He carries three yellow chairs with three of his arms. Tamagotchis can sit on them and ride them. Although he is based on an octopus, he appears to only have seven arms. He also somewhat resembles a swing ride.
Personality[]
In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3, Octopatchi is depicted as friendly and easygoing, although he can be forgetful and will say things like "Hey! Where am I?". He is friends with Roudotchi. After he tells the player that Roudotchi works hard because saving money is his hobby, he remarks that he doesn't have any savings. According to Roudotchi, although Octopatchi looks very weak, he's strong enough to win an arm wrestling contest.
Octopatchi works at the Guruguru Park in Guruguru Town.
