The Oden-Kun Tamagotchi (おでんくんのたまごっち Oden-kun no Tamagotchi) is a licensed Tamagotchi released in Japan in March 2007. It is based on the Lily Franky TV show Odenkun, which ran from August 4, 2005 to February 27, 2009.
Functions[]
The Oden-Kun Tamagotchi functions nearly identically to the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus.
Intro Animation[]
The Oden-Kun Tamagotchi features a unique opening animation showing the world in which the Oden-Kun series takes place.
After setting the clock, the baby will be born from a frying pan after one minute.
Food[]
Like the Tamagotchi Connection, the meals and snacks are unique to each character. The meal is always a food version of whatever character is being raised, with the exception of the babies.
Games[]
Kebab Making[]
A character will show a kebab on the right side of the screen, consisting of three ingredients. A scrolling line of kebab ingredients will appear below. The player must press the B button to skewer the kebab stick into the pieces in the correct order. The more kebabs the player finishes, the faster the ingredients move in subsequent rounds.
Ladle Pouring[]
A ladle will appear over a pan of food, moving left to right, with a center marker at the top-center of the screen. The player must press the B button when the ladle is in the correct position to pour its contents over the food. The ladle moves faster with each successful pour.
Jump Rope[]
Oden-Kun and a jump rope will appear on the screen and start swinging. The player must press B at the correct time for Oden-Kun to successfully jump over the rope.
Connection and Online Codes[]
Under the "Connection" icon, there are two options: one to connect, and one to enter codes from the official Tamagotchi website to obtain special items. The Oden-Kun Tamagotchi cannot connect with other types of Tamagotchi.
Death[]
The gravestone is shaped like a kebab, and after Obaketchi appears, a plate of food (presumably the Oden-Kun that had just passed on) will appear beneath it.
