Otokitchi (おトキっち Otokitchi) is a senior Tamagotchi that debuted on the Mesutchi in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 1 internationally. Her male counterpart is Ojitchi.

Appearance[]

Otokitchi's head resembles that of an old woman, with four stick-like limbs and mid-to-light gray hair tied up in a bun. Her limbs are usually colored light indigo.

Personality[]

Otokitchi has a keen interest in helping young Tamagotchi find love. In the anime, she is married to Ojitchi and occasionally quarrels with him.

On Virtual Pets[]

As a Raisable Character/NPC[]

Mesutchi[]

Otokitchi is a TMP4 character that evolves from ChoHimetchi with perfect care, if she remains unmarried by the age of 13. Like Tsuketchi, Otokitchi will refuse to marry, and will get gradually more needy each day until she dies. Her meal is a mushroom, and her snack is a bottle of sake. She wakes at 7 AM, sleeps at 8 PM, and has a base weight of 10.

In early test versions of the toy distributed in August 1997, she also appears when a Mesutchi and Osutchi begin to mate, bringing the Mesutchi character a futon. This was removed from the final version of the toy.

Tamagotchi Connection V1-V4.5[]

Otokitchi will evolve from any female adult if she has lived for a long period of time without getting married. Having her marry Ojitchi will result in the birth of a male baby that will evolve into Oyajitchi.

Keitai/Akai, Entama/Uratama[]

The conditions to obtain Otokitchi and the results from marrying Ojitchi are the same on these versions as on the Connection pets, but the player can use the matchmaker house icon to allow their Otokitchi to mate without needing to connect to another device, or use the Hatena dating cards. On the Uratama, she is replaced with Ura Otokitchi and can also use the Bikkuri dating cards.

Tamagotchi Music Star[]

Otokitchi will evolve from any female adult if she has lived for a long period of time without getting married. Marrying her to Ojitchi or Rexitchi will not yield any special offspring.

Tamagotchi Plus Color[]

Otokitchi will evolve from any female adult if she has lived for a long period of time without getting married. If she marries Ojitchi, the resulting offspring will become a special adult (Oyajitchi if male, Grippatchi if female, Tensaitchi Jr. or Tensaikotchi Jr on the Hexagontchi). If Otokitchi visits the Matchmaker, only Ojitchi will be offered. As the Adult stage and their equivalents were made permanent on later versions, this is Otokitchi's latest appearance as a raisable character on a color release.

TamaTown Tama-Go[]

Otokitchi can be obtained through either severe neglect of any female adult (appearing as early as age 4) or having a female adult for a long period of time without marriage (as late as age 20).

Tamagotchi m!x[]

On the 20th Anniversary and Gift versions of the Tamagotchi m!x, Otokitchi, alongside Ojitchi, appear in the family photo if the user's Tamagotchi marries an Oyajitchi.

Tamagotchi Smart[]

Otokitchi appears as a NPC exclusive to the Kei-Tama Friends TamaSma Card. She greets the Tamagotchi when the card is linked and appears with Ojitchi during the animation for the Striped Tie item.

Tamagotchi Uni[]

Otokitchi appears with Ojitchi to see the Tamagotchi off if they get married in the Tamaverse.

As the Matchmaker[]

Mesutchi[]

In early test versions of the toy distributed in August 1997, she also appears when a Mesutchi and Osutchi begin to mate, bringing the Mesutchi character a futon. This was removed from the finalized version of the toy, distributed in December.

Tamagotchi Connection V1-V4.5, Keitai/Akai[]

Once a Tamagotchi has been an adult for 72 hours, Otokitchi will appear with a potential mate. She appears three times a day: 10:30 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Otokitchi no longer appears once the Tamagotchi reaches the senior stage.

Entama and Uratama[]

As before, Otokitchi appears three times a day once the Tamagotchi has been an adult for 72 hours. However, a new item is available for purchase that allows the user to summon Otokitchi at any time. Additionally, there are three Dating Cards available that summon her; the resulting offspring will be Hatenatchi (on the Entama) or Bikkuritchi (on the UraTama).

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5[]

Otokitchi runs the Dating Channel, and can offer a mate to a Tamagotchi once it has been an adult for 72 hours. The channel can be used up to three times a day, and cannot be used prior to adulthood. If the player attempts to view the channel after three potential spouses have been offered in a single day, it will show her asleep and play an error sound.

On English editions of the toy, she will sometimes be replaced by Planetchi, offering Sunnytchi as a mate. On the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 Celebrity, she will sometimes be replaced by Jewelboxtchi, offering Jeweltchi as a mate. Accepting Sunnytchi or Jeweltchi will always result in the birth of a single Iwatchi.

Tamagotchi Plus Color, TamaTown Tama-Go[]

Otokitchi no longer visits when the Tamagotchi is ready to marry; instead, the Tamagotchi must go out and visit her under the "Date Place" option.

In the Anime[]

Tamagotchi: The Movie[]

Otokitchi has a brief appearance where she is seen reading a love letter.

Let's Go! Tamagotchi[]

Otokitchi makes a cameo in the episode Super Heroine Chamametchi!. She and Ojitchi appear briefly on television, sitting down and sipping tea as ChaMametchi flips through several different channels.

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe![]

Otokitchi and Ojitchi play minor roles. When they argue over an issue, Hapihapitchi appears to make them happy, and they make up to each other. Later on, they argue again, but refuse to make up on their own, requesting to Hapihapitchi do it for them.

Tamagotchi![]

Otokitchi appears a minor character. In "A Puzzling Love Message in a Bottle", Lovelin interviews her and asks her opinion on the mysterious love letter found in a river. In "The Power of Gossip!", she can be seen chasing after Safetytchi as part of an angry mob after a rumor got out stating her hair was cotton candy.
