Otototchi's Treasure Hunting Game (オトトっちの宝さがしゲーム Otototchi no Takara Sagashi Gēmu) is an official Japanese Tamagotchi web game that was released on Tamagotch Channel in 1998. The game is based on the Tamagotchi Ocean.
Gameplay[]
The player controls Otototchi and looks for treasure in the ocean. On the first screen, there is a single treasure chest on the ocean floor, and there are three buttons at the bottom of the game screen that say Stop, Normal, and Fast. Otototchi can only move straight downwards, and the player can control his speed with these buttons.
Oden will float across the screen, and sometimes a polar bear will swim across the screen as well. The objective is to dodge the oden and polar bear and reach the treasure chest. Each time Otototchi hits oden, this temporarily slows Otototchi down and adds ten second to the game's timer. If Otototchi hits a polar bear, the player loses a try and must start over.
When Otototchi reaches the treasure chest, the player is taken to a second screen which has three treasure chests. At this screen, the player must choose one of the three treasure chests. Each treasure chest contains one of the following: nothing, an octopus, or Ningyotchi.
If the player chooses a chest with nothing or an octopus, then the player loses a try and must start over from the beginning. If the player finds Ningyotchi, the game is won. Then the game will redirect the player to a webpage for Ningyotchi.

Trivia[]
- The second part of this game is directly based on the game on the Tamagotchi Ocean.
- Despite the game having a timer, it doesn't seem to serve any purpose. If it reaches 99, it will reset to 0 with no penalty.
