Paparatchi (ぱぱらっち) is an adult character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 internationally.
Name Origin[]
Paparatchi's name is derived from the English/Italian word paparazzi, referring to people who take photographs of celebrities.
Appearance[]
Paparatchi represents a human-like head with glasses, a pink beak, thin legs and black hair tied up in a ponytail. The male variation has peach-colored skin and visible cheekbones, while the female has pink skin, eyelashes, no visible cheekbones, and a red bow. Paparatchi is usually seen carrying a gray camera.
Personality[]
Paparatchi is fond of photos, and loves collecting and taking rare photos, especially of celebrities. In Tamagotchi Town, one Paparatchi runs a small photo kiosk.

On Virtual Pets[]
Tamagotchi Plus Keitai/Akai[]
The user must first raise a Violetchi (Ribotchi on the Akai) and have it marry a Mametchi (on another Tamagotchi, not the Matchmaker). The resulting baby must be raised into a Dorotchi (Tengutchi on the Akai), who will evolve into Paparatchi in three days, if good care is maintained and no care mistakes happen.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]
Paparatchi is one of three possible adults that can be obtained by taking average care of a teen on any odd generation, the other two being Mimiyoritchi and Tarakotchi.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 Celebrity[]
Paparatchi appears as a neglect-exclusive character who can evolve from any adult who had 3 calls missed for empty happiness hearts (the parents will evolve into Scooptchi). If a Paparatchi marries, it will evolve into Scooptchi. Paparatchi can be reverted back to its previous form either by eating Caramel Candy, or using the Three-Way Mirror. Both male and female Paparatchi have the same default animations, but have unique Close Ups.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 6 Music Star[]
Paparatchi can sometimes be seen in the crowd when the Tamagotchi's band performs at a concert.
In the Anime[]
Tamagotchi![]
Both the female and male variations appear as background characters in the Tamagotchi! series. In "Rival? Idol? Enter Melodytchi" they are with other paparazzi trying to take pictures of Melodytchi. In "Tamagotchi Grand Prix! Fierce Race" they are seen taking pictures of Dazzilitchi.
