Pinch! Gotchi King Is Boiling!? is the 136th episode of the Tamagotchi! anime series.

Synopsis[]

The Gotchi King starts boiling up, and Mametchi and his gang must get help from Adobentchi to explore the underground caves and temples of the Gotchi King's castle to find a Crystal Crown that can cure the problem.

Plot[]

Princess Tamako greets her father good morning in his bedroom, unaware of him groaning and shifting in bed. When she gets close to him, Gotchi King suddenly jumps out of bed and raps about being hot before falling to the ground. Princess Tamako notices his strange pink design and recoils when touching him, saying that he is very hot to the touch. The royal doctor later comes into the room to diagnose him as the Gotchi King's family watches with worry.

The royal doctor places Gotchi King in a seat full of ice surrounded by air conditioning and snow. He tells the family that he has "Easter Egg sickness", a disease that only Gotchi King can catch. If he is not cured in time, he will completely boil over and get cooked. Princess Tamako begs the doctor to cure him and they respond that they'll consult their books to find the cure. Meanwhile, the Tama-friends bid Moriritchi goodbye after school. Himespetchi looks over at Gotchi Castle and notices it covered in steam. The Tama-friends decide to go there to see what's happening and they see Royal Servants suffering from the heat.

Princess Tamako explains the situation to them and the royal doctor returns with a cure to the Easter Egg sickness. The cure is a crystal crown hidden deep in the underground caves below Gotchi Castle. The Tama-friends say they'll help Princess Tamako find the crown and they head for entrance of the underground caves. Princess Tamako is worried about the journey being dangerous as the Gotchi King's friend, named Adventchi, had entered the caves long ago and never came back. The friends reassure her that they'll be safe as a group and they enter the caves.

After walking down a long flight of stairs and going deep into the caves, they come upon a large patch of crystals. They are unable to find it and Mametchi encounters a bearded Tamagotchi hiding in the crystals. The Tamagotchi screams "ADVENTURE" and charges at them, frightening the group and making them run away. The friends run into a dead end and the Tamagotchi tries to get closer to them only to get wedged in between the walls of the cave. The Tamagotchi then asks why they ran away from him and states that they were just excited to see other Tamagotchis before bursting into tears.

The Tama-friends free him and Mametchi confirms that he is Adventchi. They explain that they're looking for the crystal crown to cure Gotchi King's sickness and ask Adventchi if he knows where it is. Adventchi isn't sure, but after some prodding by the group he mentions a giant door which could lead to the crown. He leads them there and notes that it will only open if the puzzle blocks near the door are arranged in a way to match the pattern above the door. He adds that he could never solve it, but Mametchi quickly works out the puzzle to Adventchi's shock. The door opens to a booby trapped hallway full of traps that Adventchi accidentally triggers. After reaching the end of the hallway, Adventchi is relieved for it to be over and the group is annoyed at him for activating all the traps.

Everyone encounters a large sphinx Tamagotchi called Sphinquiztchi guarding the door in front of them. He tells them that he guards the door to the crystal crown and that they must correctly answer his riddle for the door to open. Sphinquiztchi then states the riddle: "What has four legs, and then two legs, and then three legs?". Mametchi thinks hard for the answer and nearly says Tamagotchi before realizing that some Tamagotchis don't have legs at all. He ends up changing his answer to humans as they are always born with two legs. Sphinquiztchi accepts this answer and opens the door to let them through.

The group enters the room which has a beautiful waterfall emerging from crystals hanging on the ceiling. They search the room, but are unable to find the crown and become discouraged. Princess Tamako starts crying out of worry for her father and a single tear falls into pool in front of her. The pool suddenly glows and the crystal crown emerges from where the tear fell. Sphinquiztchi explains that the crown will only appear when it senses a strong bond from the Tamagotchi searching for it. A mysterious plate then also emerges from the pool, summoned from Princess Tamako's love for her father. It releases the Crystal Tama Heart which Lovelitchi and Melodytchi collect in their Tama Profys.

Everyone returns to the castle and Princess Tamako places the crown on Gotchi King, instantly curing him. He later thanks the Tama-friends for helping his daughter find the crown and excitedly greets Adventchi who hugs him. As the Tama-friends leave the castle, Princess Tamako asks Adventchi what he will do next. Adventchi responds that he will continue adventuring in the underground caves, determined to get through by himself. However, the scene cuts to him already lost in the caves.
