Planktontchi (プランクトンっち Purankutontchi) is a baby Sakanatchi character that debuted in Game de Hakken!! Tamagotchi 2. On the virtual pets, it debuted on Tamagotchi Ocean.
Name Origin[]
Planktontchi's name is derived from the English word "plankton".
Appearance[]
Planktontchi resembles a small, yellow ball with a face, an antenna on top, and three legs underneath.
Personality[]
Planktontchi grew up with several tens of thousands of childhood friends and relatives, but thanks to predators and other agents of natural selection, it is currently all alone. Perhaps as a result of this, it's become lonely, world-weary, anguished eyes for such a little baby. It's very independent, and plans to leave the Tamagotchi Ocean to search all the seas in the world for new friends.

Planktontchi is the baby stage, and will evolve into Kuragetchi after one hour. Planktontchi will get sick once and poo twice, and has a base weight of 1.
The ratio between Hungry and Happy hearts lost determines whether Planktontchi can survive to the teen stage or not. The Hungry meter will always deplete at the same rate of 1 heart every 3 minutes, while the Happy meter fluctuates. If the ratio is 1 Hungry heart for every 1 Happy heart, Planktontchi is highly likely to become a teen. The more Hungry hearts are lost for each Happy heart, the less likely it is that it will survive.
