Pochitchi (ポチっち) is an adult Tamagotchi that debuted on the second generation of the original Tamagotchi.
Name Origin[]
"Pochi" ( ポチ) is a common, generic name for pet dogs in Japan.
Appearance[]
Pochitchi resembles a round, yellow dog with stubby arms and legs. In his US artwork, he is more of a lime color and has no visible tail. On the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. app, he can also be pink or blue.
Personality[]
Pochitchi looks like a dog and is a thoughtful Tamagotchi. Good natured and rare, Pochitchi likes to eat biscuits and for a hobby loves to go driving. He is also mischievous and likes marking his territory on everything he comes across. He has some very dog-like habits, but it is usually embarrassed when other Tamagotchis use this against him. Pochitchi sometimes barks to communicate and also plays a jaw harp.

Pochitchi evolves from type one Tongaritchi with two or less care mistakes and one discipline mistake. On the Version 2 of the P2 in Japan, he is replaced with Nyatchi. It has a base weight of 30, goes to sleep at 10pm and wakes up at 9am. The rate at which it loses hearts depends on how old it is - one hungry heart every 81 minutes and one happy heart every 91 minutes from evolution until after its second natural sickness, finally losing one every five or six minutes towards the end of its maximum lifespan on the originals.
While intended to be capable of evolving from type two Tongaritchi, it is not possible on the original P2 due to discipline mistakes being retained between stages. On the rereleases, a type two Tongaritchi can evolve into Pochitchi with three or less care mistakes and no more than one discipline mistake,
Tamagotchi Connection Version 2[]
Pochitchi is a Normal adult that appears in odd generations, and as such has a base weight of 30lb, goes to sleep at 10pm and wakes up at 9am. It can evolve from a Serious teen with two care mistakes across either category, or from a Normal teen with one care mistake. Alternatively, a Tamagotchi that received severe neglect during the child stage but had zero care mistakes as a teen may evolve into Pochitchi instead of a Serious adult.
Pochitchi's favorite food is sausage and it hates fruit juice.

Pochitchi is part of the group of Tamagotchis sent to find an Earth artifact for the Tamagotchi Museum. He is partnered with Mimitchi, and the two manage to bring back a television. When it fails to work, the two take it apart and improvise a show through it.
Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi[]
In Pochitchi's episode of Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi, he is shown trying to resist his dog instincts. Zuccitchi and Kusatchi tease him by making him fetch a bone, along with other stereotypical dog behaviors. Pochitchi gets embarrassed and runs home crying, though later that night, he's seen happily howling at the moon.

Tamagotchi (Game Boy)[]
Pochitchi evolves from Tamatchi with one selfishness, less than 40 stress and if its body exceeds its intelligence; and from Tongaritchi with zero selfishness, less than 40 stress and if its body exceeds its intelligence. If the teen's intelligence and body stats are equal, they will randomly evolve into either Pochitchi or Ginjirotchi.
Pochitchi sleeps from 8pm to 7am, likes meat and dislikes carrots, and its highest possible beauty contest score is 95.
Tamagotchi CD-ROM[]
As a result of being swapped with Zuccitchi on the P2 growth chart, Pochitchi evolves from Tongaritchi with good care and several discipline mistake - and type two Pochitchi will evolve into Zatchi after about 82 hours. As usual, it has a base weight of 30lb, goes to sleep at 10pm and wakes up at 9am. If it started out with less than 50% discipline prior to evolution, it will be filled up to that point afterwards and continue to make three or four discipline calls every day.
Pochitchi's meal and snack are a piece of steak and a bone respectively, and its unique animation shows it chasing after a bone.
Sega Saturn de Hakken!! Tamagotchi Park[]
Pochitchi evolves from type one Tongaritchi with zero discipline mistakes and good care, and from type two Tongaritchi with zero discipline mistakes and perfect care. It is depicted as orange instead of its normal yellow in the game.
Should the requirements for Pochitchi be fulfilled, a type two Tongaritchi with full discipline, intelligence and power that has won first place in all three contests will instead evolve into a grey Pochitchi capable of laying Sega eggs.
Hoshi de Hakken!! Tamagotchi[]
Pochitchi is a Group F adult who evolves from Hashitamatchi with good care. Due to all of the Group F characters being genderless, Pochitchi is incapable of breeding.
