Reportchi (レポっち Repotchi) is a female adult Tamagotchi character who debuted in Tamagotchi: The Movie. She is Tamagotchi Planet's local reporter, and she is also Guidetchi's assistant. She appears on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 and the Tamagotchi iD L as a non-raisable character.
Name Origin[]
Reportchi comes from the English word, "Report" which is in reference to Reportchi's job as a local news reporter.
Appearance[]
Reportchi has yellow skin, a light coral beak, and light orange blush spots. She has dark-blue oval-shaped eyes. There is a light red arrow on each side of her head. The arrows are flexible and can point in different directions, but they usually point up. They can also reflect Reportchi's emotions, such as drooping when she is sad. She wears a pink scarf and often carries a microphone, which has a yellow handle in most artwork or a coral handle in anime artwork.
Personality[]
This passionate news reporter always knows where to go for the latest breaking news, so naturally, she and Guidetchi work closely together. She can use the arrows on her head to point to things.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5[]
Reportchi would deliver items when certain codes were entered, and the special DVD item on this version was a video about her.
In the activity disc that was bundled with the Version 5 in some releases, Reportchi has a prominent role in the animated flash shorts, and there is a series of "House Call With Reportchi" animations. There is additionally a Gotchi News segment where Reportchi talks about her DVD, stating it contains exclusive footage of her, including her vacation on the beach.

Tamagotchi: The Movie[]
Reportchi is a minor character and appears several times throughout the movie and its sequel. She reports various incidents, which are broadcast on the Gotchi News. Reportchi is a passionate reporter and gets tearful during touching moments. She also has a verbal tic, much like a few other Tamagotchis; in the original Japanese version, she adds "-repo" to the ends of her sentences.

Reportchi reports on the paper tornado that is attacking Celebria, showing footage of Tamagotchis getting caught in it.

Reportchi makes background appearances at TAMAX-TV. Lovelin is utilized as a reporter in the series instead, replacing Reportchi's role from the movies.
She is seen in "The Mysterious Beginning of the Vanishing Tama-Hearts" reporting on the appearance of the eggification curse at North North Point, interviewing the affected Tamagotchis.

Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series[]
Reportchi appears as a customer in the player's shops. In Tamagotchi no Kira Kira Omisetchi, she will sometimes do an interview with the player's partner Tamagotchi. In Tamagotchi no Pichi Pichi Omisetchi she appears in a mid game cutscene where she interviews Pichi Pichi Island's shopkeepers about fish disappearing in the ocean.

- Reportchi is both based on and voiced by Kaito Aiko, who is an actress and weathercaster for Mezamashi TV in Japan. (pictured right)
- In Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!, Reportchi is voiced by Iho Matsukubo instead, as her original voice actress was a guest star.
- For a limited time, an exclusive Reportchi plush was available at screenings for Tamagotchi: The Movie in Japan.
