Santagreentchi (サンタグリーンっち Santagurīntchi) is a male Tamagotchi character that appeared in the original Tamagotchi! anime.
Name Origin[]
Santagreentchi comes from Santa Claus, the figure based on Santa Clautchi, but with green replacing the clau part. He is often referred to as "Green" for short.
Appearance[]
Santagreentchi wears sunglasses, blue and white vacation clothing, and a green hat and boots. He also has a gray beard and gray hair that comes out from his hat.
Personality[]
Santagreentchi is mischievous and talks in a more casual manner compared to Santaclautchi. He loves to play pranks with Greennosetchi who is as mischievious as him. Despite his bad boy nature, Santagreentchi is jolly in his own way and is dedicated to delivering presents.
He is the Santaclautchi of summer and delivers presents to the southern lands of Tamagotchi Planet with Greennosetchi.
In the Anime[]
Tamagotchi![]
Santagreentchi appears in "A Bit of a Badboy? Midsummer Santaclautchi". He is seen hanging out at Waru Cafe with Greennosetchi and tricks the Tama-friends into thinking he is Santaclautchi. He explains that he's taking a vacation in Tamagotchi Town and the Tama-friends decide to do summer activities with him such as swimming in a pool and playing volleyball at the beach. Santagreentchi then decides to mess with them and pretend that he is missing his Santa License, making the Tama-friends look for it at the places they've been to.
When Santagreentchi decides to end the prank, he realizes that he is actually missing his license and panics. The real Santaclautchi and Rednosetchi eventually finds him to give his Santa License which he left back on Christmas Island. Once the truth is out, he apologizes to the Tama-friends for pretending to be Santaclautchi and they accept his apology. The Santa Tama Heart then appears from Santagreentchi appreciating Santaclautchi for looking out for him,
