Shimagurutchi (しまぐるっち Shimagurutchi), also known as Simagurutchi, is a male adult-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Tamagotchi m!x in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Pix internationally.
Name Origin[]
Shimagurutchi's name comes from the words shima (縞), meaning stripe, and guruguru (ぐるぐる), meaning "going round and round", or swirly. His name refers to the stripes going around his body, as well as the swirls in his eyes and on his hat and tail.
Appearance[]
Shimagurutchi has a white face with light pink cheek spots, a v-shaped mouth, and oval-shaped eyes with dark pupils that have white swirls inside of them. He wears a large cap that ends in a swirl, and he has a slender tail that ends in a swirl. He has alternating periwinkle and light yellow stripes on his torso, tail, and hat. His arms are light yellow, and his legs are periwinkle.
On his sprite from the Tamagotchi m!x, his stripes were a much lighter purple, with him able to pass down the color purple through mixing. These were made darker on the Tamagotchi Uni to reflect his official artwork depicting them as a dark periwinkle or pale-indigo.
Personality[]
Shimagurutchi loves striped and circular patterns and always wants to share his love of them with his friends. His love for stripes allows him to get along well with ShimaShimatchi, who is also obsessed with stripes.

Tamagotchi m!x[]
Shimagurutchi is a raisable adult on the Melody, Spacy and Sanrio versions who is exclusive to the First Generation, as he cannot be encountered or married in any town. He evolves from any male teen with 7 or more care mistakes, provided that My Town's theme has not been changed to "Forest", "Ninja" or "Floral". He is absent on the 20th Anniversary and Gift versions, where he was replaced with ShimaShimatchi, as well as on the Dream version, where he was replaced with Spacytchi.

Shimagurutchi is an NPC who was exclusive to the Meets Station during Winter 2018, where he could be befriended and married. Some of his favorite items are:

Shimagurutchi is a raisable adult who can be obtained from any male teen born from a green egg with 2-3 care mistakes, or with 4-5 care mistakes when having been fed the Striped Lollipop snack 3+ times.
On the Party version, he can be obtained from any male teen born from a green striped egg with 0-1 care mistakes, or 2-3 care mistakes when having been fed the Striped Lollipop snack 3+ times. Additionally, he may also be obtained by inviting him to a Party 5+ times, provided that the teen is male and comes from the same egg group.
Tamagotchi Smart[]
Shimagurutchi is an NPC who appears at the Square year-round when no events are going on.
Tamagotchi Uni[]
Shimagurutchi is a raisable adult who evolves from Kuriritchi with 6 or more care mistakes. His hunger drops by one every 60 minutes while his happiness drops by one every 20 minutes. He goes to sleep at 10 PM.

- Shimagurutchi is the only character introduced on the Tamagotchi m!x to have appeared on every major subsequent release up through the Tamagotchi Uni.
- Shimagurutchi was featured on the Tamagotchi 25th Anniversary Poll to be an adult on the Anniversary Friends TamaSma Card but didn't get enough votes to win, despite already being a NPC in the base device.
