Synopsis[]
Thanks to Lovelin, Himespetchi is able to appear in the TAMAX-TV drama "Thief Papillon". The episode is a jewel unveiling party at the Dotcine Hotel. Anpan Detective disguises himself as a woman to join the party and protect the "Akatsuki no Heart" ruby from the phantom Thief Papillion. Will he be able to keep it safe? And what is Himespetchi's role in the drama?[1]
Plot[]
Before an airing of Thief Papillon begins, Himespetchi tells Lovelin how excited she is to appear in the show. She consults her Himespe Phone to see how she can catch Mametchi's heart and it tells her that she will have good luck if she can get near him. At the set, Mannephiltchi and his grandson arrive and make their presence known. TamaPtchi panics while talking to Mannephiltchi and Kakiwaritchi explains to ADtchi that Mannephiltchi is a veteran in TV show business and had taught TamaPtchi how to direct and write TV shows. Thus, TamaPtchi wants to make sure the filming of the show goes well so Mannephiltchi can be satisfied with his progress.
The Thief Papillon episode opens on Police Officer Memetchi and Kuchipatchi debriefing the police team on their mission today. Madeline Kirie Doctrine will be unveiling the "Akatsuki no Heart" ruby at her hotel and a Prince will appear as a guest to help her debut it. Some of the police team will go undercover as guests at the party so Thief Papillon won't be able to hide from them. As Anpan Detective watches the debriefing he realizes Melody Investigator is on the case to his dismay. Detective Gozarutchi then drops from the ceiling to announce Police Officer Kizunatchi is coming in and the whole rooms panics to straighten themselves out. When she arrives, she yells at the police team to take the case seriously and that they can't fail this time.
The police team arrives at the hotel and Makiko has them go to a dressing room to get in their disguises. Everyone including Gozarutchi, Kuchipatchi, and Mametchi are dressed up in gowns and maid outfits. Forensic Officer Kuromametchi checks in on everyone and blushes when Anpan Detective comes up to him, thinking he is a girl. However, he is shocked when Anpan Detective speaks and reveals himself in his disguise. After Kuromametchi leaves in dismay, Memetchi chastises the boys for not acting lady-like as it could compromise their disguises. She tries to train them to act more feminine, telling them to speak in higher pitched voices and act daintily.
Makiko, Memetchi, and Hapihapitchi greet the prince at the hotel's entrance and walk him inside. A shrill voice then shouts out that they have free candy and while the group looks around in confusion, the prince is snatched away and replaced by Thief Papillon disguised as him. Meanwhile, Anpan Detective tries teaching himself how to dance for the party. He spots Telelin struggling not to fall in a fountain and rescues her. Telelin then reunites with the prince who asks Anpan Detective who he is. Anpan nearly says his name before quickly lying and saying another name. When he notices Anpan teaching himself how to dance, prince helps him dance properly and the two strike up a conversation about the party happening later tonight. Anpan expresses worry about Thief Papillon coming to the party, but the prince tells him not to worry as they have security around. The prince then leaves and tells him that he hopes to dance with him at the party later. Melodytchi arrives soon after and tells Anpan that she suspects the prince may have been compromised by Thief Papillon to his surprise.
At the party, the police team try to blend in with the guests while keeping an eye for Thief Papillon. ADtchi then stops the scene so the team can take a break. Himespetchi, who was playing as a statue at the party, complains about her role and aims to take things into her own hands. The scene continues with the prince and Anpan Detective dancing together at the party. Himespetchi proceeds to interrupt the scene and push them away from each other while dressed as various actors. TamaPtchi is interested in the change of scene, but Mannephiltchi coughing and looking stern causes him to tell ADtchi to get her off the set. After the third attempt, ADtchi throws her out of the studio and locks the door.
The scene continues normally with the prince joining Madeleine Kirie Doctrine at the front of the room to unveil the ruby. The prince is surprised to see a lock on the box and its revealed the police team had changed the box to a locked one earlier as only the real prince would have the key. While the event goes on, Hapihapitchi manages to find the actual prince tied up and stuffed away in a room. Thief Papillon manages to keep up the act until the prince himself runs into the room and reveals their true character. Thief Papillon then bids everyone goodbye and rides up a cable Thief Telelin drops down into the room. However, Anpan Detective and Melody Investigator make it up to the roof she escapes to and try to corner her. Thief Papillon presses a button on her remote which summons a plane for her to ride to freedom as the two detectives watch her escape.
The filming of the episode ends and TamaPtchi asks Mannephiltchi what he thinks. Mannephiltchi is pleased that his grandson liked the episode, but asks TamaPtchi why he didn't let Himespetchi change the story as he was interested in the change. TamaPtchi and the TV crew falls to the ground in exasperation as the actors exit the studio. Himespetchi tries to run to her friends, but is unable to get to them in time. She then picks up a heart accessory from the ground and notices that it's from Anpan Detective's disguise. It then comes to her that her phone's fortune was true as she caught "Mametchi's heart" and she expresses her disappointment.
