Sunopotchi was available to download from touch spots in the toy department of Bic Camera stores, which is an electronics retailer in Japan. His favorite food is pizza, and his favorite items are the soccer ball and snowboard. He dislikes cream stew, apples, and the Oyaji bromide.
He was one of the 7 first guests from the Meets Station, a Japan-wide Winter 2018 marriage candidate. His genes are quite rare on the app today, however they are still in circulation. Under Sunopotchi's hat, his hair appears to be naturally parted. His penguin-like body type gene gives his distant descendants his likes and dislikes. One of his favorite foods is Sky Bread from Fairy Land, a color changing delicacy. His favorite accessories are the Sunglasses and the Pet Balloon given by Fairytchi.
In the Anime
Sunopotchi is very good at sports, especially skateboarding. He is usually seen carrying his skateboard, and he even rides it inside Tamagotchi School. His classmates like to watch him perform stunts.
When Sunopotchi first came to Tamagotchi School, Mametchi and Kuromametchi were quick to befriend him. He was one of the first Tamagotchis to get the Egg Curse, which occurred near the end of the original Tamagotchi anime series.
He ends all his sentences with "nopo".
Sunopotchi's name may come from suno (スノ), the Japanese pronunciation of the English word snow, and nonopo, for his hometown North North Point. His name could also be a pun on the word sunobo, which means "snowboard".
