Sustain Land (サステナランド Sasutena Rando) is an area created to showcase Bandai's sustainability campaign for children. It features various Tamagotchi characters working together with characters from Bandai's other franchises and partners to practice and celebrate sustainability.
Appearance[]
Sustain Land is a pavilion with several areas and an island dedicated to different aspects of sustainability. The land itself is presented on the sustainability section of Bandai's website. Clicking each area leads to a page describing actions Bandai is taking to practice sustainability, recycling, and encourage community.
Locations[]
- Hobby Center: This center is focused on recycling the plastic used in Gundam plastic models, using egg shells and wood chips in creating new model kits, and the use of renewable energy such as solar panels in powering factories. Mametchi, Chamametchi, and a RX-78-2 Gundam are used to represent the area.
- Green Farm: The farm grows produce for use in Bandai's cafeteria and hires people with disabilities to maintain it.
- Live Plaza: This is a stage where idol concerts take place. Practices of sustainability include having collection boxes for fans to give away old clothing, recycling light sticks and decorations, using environmentally friendly lighting at concerts, and using donating proceeds from ticket sales. Honoka Kousaka from Love Live! and Haruka Anami from IDOLM@STER are used to represent the area.
- Outdoor Area: A place where people can have fun, the Outdoor Area holds basketball games with recycling lessons, creates toys for those with visual and hearing impairments, allows children to experience working at Bandai, and holds singing sessions for anime songs. Susatama-kun, the mascot of the Shimane Susanoo Magic basketball team, is featured here.
- Creator House: This house is where Bandai checks for counterfeit products, holds indie game competitions, teaches students in animation, and upholds manufacturing rules. Mr. Capybara from tryworks and Jackie from The Bears School represents the area.
- Amusement Space: The space focuses on eco friendly game machines, inspecting the safety of the them, and having workers qualified in working with youth. Najavu, the mascot of Namja Town, is represents the area.
- Capsule Corner: Gachapon capsules are recycled back into plastic pellets while capsules containing calcium carbonate are developed here. Prince from Katamari Damacy and the Panda Car from Asakusa Hanayashiki amusement park represent the area.
- Game Event: A stage where Tekken tournaments are held to encourage community among players. Jin from Tekken and Don-chan from Taiko no Tatsujun represent the area.
- Abroad: A small island showcasing Bandai's efforts to hold events and cleanups in other countries. Pac-Man from the Pac-Man franchise represents the area.
