Tabakotchi (たばこっち) is a character who appears exclusively on the TamaOtch.
Name Origin[]
"Tabako" is a Japanese transliteration of the English word "tobacco". Tabakotchi's name refers to its smoking habit, since tobacco is the main ingredient in cigars and cigarettes.
Appearance[]
Tabakotchi has a large head shaped like a kidney bean. It has a pale peach skin tone, closed eyes, and a small, frowning mouth. It has black hair in a pompadour hairstyle. It holds a cigarette in his right hand, and has two skinny, stick-like legs.
Personality[]
Tabakotchi has a completely unmotivated nature. The pressure of the entertainment industry broke them to the core, and now they're completely unmotivated. They wake up late, go to sleep late, smoke, shout rude swears, and just want to be left alone.
According to the official website: Tabakotchi is a hopeless character with no initiative or motivation at all.

Tabakotchi can evolve from any Active stage character if the conditions for any other character are not met. It can be obtained from Mochimotchi and AsaDoratchi with 3 or more care mistakes (if any game other than Ad-lib was won the most in the case of the former), or with 0-2 care mistakes and low popularity if Ad-lib or Acting was won the most, respectively. It can be obtained from Tamaotchi in four different ways, with any combination of care mistakes and popularity, and it can be obtained from Kakuretchi if Ad-lib was won the most, or with 3 or more care mistakes if Dancing or Acting was won the most.
Tabakotchi sleeps from 10pm to 1pm and its stage time starts at 9pm.

- Tabakotchi emulates Japanese pop culture depictions of gang members, such as yakuza. In Japan, pompadours and smoking are both associated with the yakuza.
- On the TamaOtch, Tabakotchi wakes up at 1 PM. This is the latest wake-up time of any Tamagotchi since 1998 aside from Gaikotchi who wakes up at 4 PM.
- Tabakotchi is one of the four Tamagotchi characters seen smoking, the other three being Helmetchi, Kaizokutchi, and Memepapatchi.
