Tama Arena

The Tama Arena is a location within the Tamaverse that appears on the Tamagotchi Uni.

Function

The Tama Arena is where the user's Tamagotchi can participate in limited time game events where they can compete against other Tamagotchi for rewards. The game is updated monthly and can only be played once a day. The user must choose a team and the winning team will get a grand prize of 5000 Gotchi Points. The user additionally gets a prize for participating, with what it is dependent on how many days they've played. As of NYANOE ♪ DANCE, multiple prizes can be won the more days the user plays.

After an event ends and the results are announced, the user must return to the Tama Arena to claim their prize. If another event starts before the user returns, the previous event prizes will be unable to be claimed.

List of Games

• Tama Racing (July 31st to August 7th, 2023): The teams were Pink and Purple, with Purple winning 291-309. The user's Tamagotchi would race against other Tamagotchis in a hover car. During the countdown, the user would have to press A as fast as possible to fill up the boost bar at the bottom of the screen. Once the race started, holding the B button would build up a speed meter at the top of the screen, but holding it while full for too long would burn out the vehicle, emptying the bar fully and dropping all speed gained to have to be risen again. The user would also have to shake the device to jump over hurdles and catch stars for a speed boost. Finally, when a cut in the animation occurred, the user would have to rapidly press A to dash ahead quickly.
  • Tama Bobsled (January 15th to 22nd, 2024): The teams were Ski vs. Skate, with Ski winning 302-298. The user's Tamagotchi would race against other Tamagotchis in a bobsled. The game was a reskin of Tama Racing, having the same gameplay and controls.
  • Honeymoon Racing (June 5th to 12th, 2024): The teams were Love vs. Money, with Money winning 265-335. The user's Tamagotchi would race with newlywed White Tamas in a car. The game was a reskin of Tama Racing, having the same gameplay and controls.
  • Tama Racing Returns (October 17th to 24th, 2024): The teams were Rose Quartz vs. Amethyst, with Rose Quartz winning 304-296. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.
  • Tama Bobsled Returns (January 16th to 23rd, 2025): The teams were Snowboard vs. Hockey, with Hockey winning 262-338. The game is exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.
  • Honeymoon Racing Returns (June 19th to 26th, 2025): The game and teams were exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being two new accessories as participation prizes. Money had won 268-332.
• Bunny Jump (September 12th to 17th, 2023): The teams were Peach vs. Grape, with Grape winning 299-301. The Tamagotchi would jump off platforms and go as high as they could within the time limit. Pressing A would move them left and pressing B would move them right. There were a variety of platforms, including wide, small, single-use bubbles and moving UFO platforms that the Tamagotchi could land and jump off from. There were also arrow platforms that would make the Tamagotchi jump much higher than a standard platform.
  • Dragon Jump (February 1st to 9th, 2024): The teams were Ketchup vs. Mustard, with Mustard winning 264-336. The game was a reskin of Bunny Jump, having the same gameplay and controls.
  • Bunny Jump Returns (September 19th to 26th, 2024): The teams were Angel vs. Monster, with Monster winning 276-333. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.
  • Bunny Jump 2025 (September 11th to 18th, 2025): The teams were once again Peach vs. Grape, with Grape winning 282-318. The game was exactly the same as its first run and its rerun, with the only exception being a new furniture item as the grand participation prize.
• Tama Tree ★ Watering (October 17th to 24th, 2023): The teams were Strawberry vs. Blueberry, with Strawberry winning 305-295. The user would water a tree, tilting the device to aim the crosshair over an open mouth and pressing B to shoot a burst of water. The small faces could be watered once while the big face needed watering 5 times. After using 15 shots, the user would have to flick the device upwards to refill the water gun. Hitting a star would allow the user to shoot an infinite amount of water for a short time.
  • Tama Tree ♪ Flower Viewing (March 25th to April 3rd, 2024): The teams were Flower vs. Dumpling, with Dumpling winning 283-318. The game was a reskin of Tama Tree ★ Watering, having the same gameplay and controls.
  • Tama Tree ★ Watering Returns (November 21st to 28th, 2024): The teams were Cosmos vs. Pansy, with Pansy winning 277-323. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.
  • Tama Tree ♪ Flower Viewing Returns (March 13th to 20th, 2025): The teams were Green Tea vs. Sakura, with Green Tea winning 323-277. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new furniture item as the grand participation prize.
  • Tama Tree ★ Watering ~The Return of Tama Tree~ (November 13th to 20th, 2025): The teams will once again be Strawberry vs. Blueberry. The game is exactly the same as its first run and its rerun, with the only exception being a new furniture item as the grand participation prize.
• NYANOE ♪ DANCE (November 24th to December 1st, 2023): The teams were Cat vs. Mouse, with Cat winning 310-290. The user would have to push the buttons at the right time as the notes moved down, with the A button corresponding to notes on the pink lane, B button for the blue lane and the C button for the yellow lane respectively. For longer notes, the user would need to hold the button and then let go as the note reaches the end. At the end of the game, Nyanoe would vomit the color of the winning team.
  • NYANOE ♪ DANCE Encore (February 22nd to 29th, 2024): The same game was rerun with the same teams, theme, and gameplay with only the prizes being different. Mouse had won 267-333.
  • FLUSH AND POOP ♪ (May 1st to 8th, 2025): The teams were Ponpoko vs. Peanuts, with Peanuts winning 289-311. The game was identical in controls but was themed around PokoPea Land, and the song that played instead was Flush and Poop—meaning the difficulty and note chart was much different.
• Ornaments ★ (December 14th to 21st, 2023): The teams were Red vs. Gold, with Red winning 307-293. The user would tilt the device to move the Tamagotchi around and gather ornaments to decorate the tree. Certain ornaments would give different amounts of points, but obstacles would also appear, such as banana peels that made the Tamagotchi slip and fall over, and reverse arrows that switched the directions in which the user's Tamagotchi moved for a few seconds. There were also bonuses in the form of a gingerbread man, granting temporary invincibility to obstacles, and White Tamas that gave extra points.
  • Bouquet Making (May 2nd to 9th, 2024): The teams were Tulip vs. Dandelion, with Dandelion winning 282-318. The game was a reskin of Ornaments★, having the same gameplay and controls.
  • Ornaments ★ Returns (December 12th to 19th, 2024): The teams were Strawberry vs. Chocolate, with Chocolate winning 289-311. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.
  • Bouquet Making Returns (April 10th to April 17th, 2025): The teams were Carnation vs. Mimosa, with Carnation winning 301-299. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new accessory as the grand participation prize.

• Summer Sports Festival was a group of consecutive Tama Arena events that took place throughout the later months of Summer 2024. These events were:
  • Wave Riding ☀︎ (July 26th to August 2nd, 2024): The teams were Macaron vs. Éclair, with Éclair winning 270-330. The user would steer the Tamagotchi across the waves by holding the A button to go up and releasing it to go down, building momentum and avoiding red flags to make it as far as possible in Tama meters before time runs out. There were also yellow flags the user had to jump over by shaking the device.
    • Wave Riding ☀︎ Returns (July 24th to 31st, 2025): The teams were Hibiscus vs. Sunflower, with Hibiscus winning 313-287. The game was exactly the same as its first run, with the only exception being a new furniture item as the grand participation prize.
  • Tama Fencing (August 9th to 16th, 2024): The teams were Pot-au-feu vs. Quiche. with Quiche winning 296-304. Icons showing "A", "B" and "C" will show up on the screen at random intervals, and the user must press the corresponding button to attack the fencing dummy. The colors and positioning of the buttons will switch up to try and confuse the user, but they must hit the button that corresponds with the letter. If the wrong button is pressed or the user waits too long to react, the dummy will attack the user's Tamagotchi, stunning them for a few seconds.
  • 51 Tama m Hurdles (August 28th to September 4th, 2024): The teams were Team 5 vs. Team 1, with Team 1 winning 296-304. The Tamagotchi competes in a race against two other Tamagotchis while jumping hurdles. The user must alternate pressing the A and B buttons repeatedly to make their Tamagotchi run, and when they approach a hurdle, the user must flick the device to make them jump. If they run into a hurdle, they will trip and fall for a few seconds.
• Yumekira ☆ Stage (February 13th to 20th, 2025): The teams were Yumemitchi vs. Kiraritchi, with Kiraritchi winning 282-312. The game features Yumemitchi and Kiraritchi in their idol outfits, attempting to sing and perform on stage successfully. Gameplay is identical to the Tama Fencing game, where users will have to rapidly press "A", "B" or "C" in correspondence to which icon appears on screen, causing the duo to stumble and stun the player for a few seconds if pressing the wrong button or failing to react in time.

Trivia

• Once a user chooses their team for an event at the Tama Arena, the Tamagotchi's outline color will change to reflect the team color. This outline color will stay until the user chooses another team for the next Tama Arena event.
• White Tamas have unique dialogue if the user starts a Tama Arena game, but loses connection or resets the Uni while it plays. If the user returns to the arena the same day, the White Tama will doubt the user lost connection (implying they reset the Uni on purpose), but let them play the Arena game again without any consequences.
• The music used for NYANOE ♪ DANCE and its encore is an excerpt from the song "Namida-kun, good morning today too", sung by ano. The music video for the song features Nyanoe appearing for and following a rat character whose backpack resembles a purple Tamagotchi Uni.
• During the run of Bunny Jump Returns, the Uni servers were overloaded and users were unable to download the data to play the arena game for 3 days. As a consolation prize, the UFO Balloon was given out as a download gift (regardless if the user participated in the game) along with 3000 Gotchi Points.
  • This was repeated with the Tama Tree ♪ Flower Viewing Returns event, with the Sakura Robe being given as consolation gift.

• Kiraritchi is off-model in her appearance on the "Yumekira ☆ Stage" official artwork, missing the tufts of hair on her forehead and showing her head as smooth on top rather than fluffy and unkempt.
