A Tama Profile (たまプロフ Tama Purofu) is an item that appeared in the original Tamagotchi! anime series. It is a Tamagotchi's character profile contained on a customized sheet of paper.
Description[]
Tama Profiles are information sheets that contain information about Tamagotchi that owns them. The information is usually their likes and dislikes, favorite food, hobbies, favorite activities, and so much more. Tamagotchis exchange these sheets with friends so they can know them much better and pass personal messages to them. The profile sheets are stored in books and can be removed to be shared with other Tamagotchis. Some Tamagotchi, like Moriritchi, like to decorate the Tama Profiles with Tamamori stickers.
In the Anime[]
Tamagotchi![]
Tama Profiles first appear in "Is This a Confession? Mystery Profile" where all the girls of Tamagotchi School are seen exchanging profile pages with each other. A page saying "I love you" is left under Melodytchi's desk and the girls in class work together to figure out who Melodytchi's crush is. However, it turns out to be from Lovelitchi who had forgotten to give it to Melodytchi later.
In "Hello! Big Mix-up in the Profile Machine?", the boys of Tamagotchi School are seen getting into Tama Profiles. Lovelitchi complains to Mametchi that she is tired of having to write her information for every profile page she shares and this inspires Mametchi to create a machine that automatically creates filled out profile pages. The first two machines explode and the third one manages to teleport a human girl named Tomomi to Tamagotchi Planet. Mametchi successfully makes a machine called a Tama Profy in "Formation! Tama Profy" using Tomomi's cellphone as a model.
In the same episode, it's revealed that humans from Earth also create and exchange their own profile pages. However, Tomomi is unwilling to share her pages with her Tamagotchi friends because of how it led to a fight with her friend Yuka on Earth.
Merchandise[]
The Tama Profiles have been turned into real life merchandise with various versions featuring Lovelitchi, Melodytchi, Moriritchi, and Himespetchi. They have been sold as refill pages packaged with Tamamori stickers to decorate them. The pages were meant to be stored in Tamamori sticker books sold separately.
