Tamagotchi! (たまごっち!) is the second Tamagotchi animated series to air in Japan. It began airing in October 2009 in Japan, and ending in September 2012. Tamagotchi! aired 143 episodes and was followed by Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream. A wide range of merchandise based on the anime is available in Japan at a TamaDepa.

An English dub with only a few episodes is aired on 9Go! (formerly Go!) channel 99 on weekends at 5:30am in Australia. Currently, the voices and publisher of the English version are unknown. A Tagalog dub on GMA also aired in the Philippines, and a Mandarin Chinese dub aired on YoYo TV.

From July 7, 2014, Korean dub is currently now airing on Champ TV and Anime Box. Both channels air Tamagotchi! every Tuesday.

Plot

Each episode consists of two parts (changed from two parts to one part since Episode 95), and sometimes they are connected to each other and other episodes, but a majority of them are stand-alone stories.

Season One

Season One generally follows the adventures of Mametchi and his friends Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, and Lovelitchi/Lovelin as they progress through each day in Tamagotchi Town. Most episodes focus on the central characters, but some are just about minor characters, such as Hapihapitchi and Chamametchi. There is a wide variety of genres for the episodes, some being comedic and light-hearted while others are more serious.

Season Two

The legend of Kuchipatchi of Truth, added to the series, along with new main character Telelin.

Season Three

New main character, Melodytchi, added to the series, along with Happy Happy Harmony. Another new main character just added before the end of season three, Moriritchi.

Season Four

New main character, Pashalin.

Season Five

The legend of Tama Heart, added to the series, along with Happy Heart. New main characters, Tomomi.

Season Six

New main character, Kizunatchi and Himespetchi, Tomomi leaves to go back to The Earth.

Season Seven

Kizunatchi evolves into her adult form and leaves. Spacytchi, Akaspetchi, Pipospetchi, Mametchi, Memetchi and Kuchipatchi leave to go study abroad at Dream School, Dream Town. a place where all dreams come true. Himespetchi reappears as well.

Anime continues, new series Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream.

  • Lovely Day (エブリーラブリー) is Lovelin's popular main song in Tamagotchi!. There is also an English dub version of this song.
  • Miracle Kitchen (ミラクルキッチン) is another one of Lovelin's popular songs. This song isn't used a lot in the anime, but is often used when she is hosting cooking shows on tv.
  • Terutohazza (テルトハッザ) Melodytchi's main song played with her violin. Most commonly known in English as Melody Waltz.

Trivia

  • Tamagotchi! Wakuwaku Jōhō (たまごっち! わくわくじょーほー) is a character introduction that was aired at the end of the ending credits of each episode. Aired from season 1 to season 3. Its unknown what episode it first aired, and it is rumored to have ended in episode 71.
