The Tamagotchi 4U+ (たまごっちフォーユープラス Tamagotchi Fōyū Purasu) is a Tamagotchi virtual pet released on July 18, 2015, for a starting price of 5,980 Yen. It is an upgrade of the Tamagotchi 4U with new characters and features. Because the Tamagotchi 4U+ features NFC, it retains the feature of Touch Spots for extra items and NFC communications with other devices.
Characters
The Tamagotchi 4U+ features 2 baby characters, 4 child characters, 12 adult characters, and 22 Personality Stage forms making a grand total of 40 built-in characters, as opposed to the Tamagotchi 4U's grand total of 32 built-in characters. This does not include downloadable characters.

All Personality Stage forms return, along with the addition of four extra ones. Himespetchi and Melodytchi have a new Personality Stage form, whereas the latter two are obtained through Candy Pakupaku and Lovesoratchi, who have one each.
New Features
All features from the Tamagotchi 4U are reused, but some new features are added.
- When two Tamagotchis connect and exchange food, it will change up to 4 times. (i.e. apple becomes sweet apple, which becomes cooked apple and finally apple pie) This can happen with any food.
- Users can plant seeds at the TamaFarm, which will eventually become food if it it nurtured and looked after
- A new location has been added, titled "Encounter Street". Here, users can have their Tamagotchi develop a relationship with other characters until it is old enough to propose.
- Quizzes can be played through either touching the NFC terminal or with another Tamagotchi.
- Fortune cookies can be purchased which will enable users to read their luck of the day. They can also be obtained through connection, along with a present from "Traveltchi".
- Souvenirs can be obtained from trips around the world.
