Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is a video game developed by Alike Studio and published by Bandai Namco Mobile that released January 4, 2024 on Apple Arcade.
Story[]
On a night of stargazing, a mysterious impact shakes Tamagotchi Planet, creating a series of strange events all over the kingdom. Mametchi and his friends need help to bring back harmony.
The player must use their party's special abilities to overcome obstacles, find hidden treasures, and come to the rescue of fellow citizens to harness the power of happiness. In the player's adventures, old and new Tamagotchi friends will be found, from the brave and helpful Mametchi and loyal Kuchipatchi to the royal Gotchi King and Meteoritchi - a new friend from outer space.
Gameplay[]
The player controls Mametchi and two of his friends as they walk, drive, or swim across Tamagotchi Planet. The goal of the game is to seal all of the geysers created by Meteoritchi's crash landing and help solve the problems of Tamagotchi affected by the geysers.
By making everyone happy, Mametchi can collect hearts to use for sealing the geysers. During their adventure, the player can also customize their camp, dress up their characters, and do several activities like fishing, cutting wood, breaking rocks and crafting items to complete quests.
Overworld Exploration[]
There are currently six major locations to explore: Tama Camp, Patchi Forest, Guruguru Town, Tamagotchi Town, Tama Street, and Antique Town. The player begins with Mametchi at Tama Camp, but as more quests are completed, other locations are unlocked and Kuchipatchi, Memetchi, Kuromametchi, and Lovelitchi will join Mametchi on his adventure. There is also a day and night cycle which affects what NPCs are out in the overworld, when quests can be completed, and when objects in the world respawn. Time in the game is synchronized to real world time though the player may use Meteoritchi's powers to change the time of day for convenience.
Later on in the game, Mametchi's party can gain access to Cabrioletchi, a car they can drive on roads to get to places faster. The party can also fast travel by pulling up the map and selecting a location to travel to.
Quests[]
Throughout the game, Mametchi will be given quests by other Tamagotchi. What the quest will ask for will vary, with some requiring Mametchi to collect materials and craft something, some requiring Mametchi to find and return something, and others needing Mametchi to simply talk to another NPC or play a game.
Once a quest is compete, the player will be given rewards. The rewards are usually Gotchi Points, blueprints for crafting, materials, and hearts used for sealing geysers. Completing certain quests will advance the game's progress and open up new areas to explore.
Asides from quests given by NPCs, there are several other types of quests that Mametchi can complete. Bulletinitchi in major areas will give minor quests every day that can be done for gotchi points. Royal Trial quests will give exclusive rewards for reaching certain milestones, such as collecting a certain number of flooring. Game updates also bring time limited quests with their own exclusive rewards.
Crafting[]
Once Mametchi has a blueprint and the needed materials he can craft a project at a workbench. Materials can be found throughout the world or bought from stores. Some materials require tools to in order collect them such as an axe used to chop logs for wood. Blueprints are usually obtained through starting quests and finishing them. Projects can range from objects, furniture, accessories, and even food items.
Tama Camp[]
Tama Camp is the base for Mametchi and his party. They can sleep at the base to advance to the next day, talk to Meteoritchi, craft items at the workbench, and receive mail at Mailboxtchi.
The player can decorate the camp, placing furniture and decorations inside and outside the living space. The player initially begins the game with a tent, but can eventually upgrade to a house as the game progresses and add more rooms to it.
Game Events[]
Occassionally, themed events are added to the game through updates. These events are time limited and have rewards exclusive to them.
