Merchandise focusing on the Tamagotchi Comrades
The Tamagotchi Comrades are (たまごっちのなかま Tamagotchi no nakama) are small, vague creatures utilized to represent the Tamagotchi species without portraying specific characters. Their bodies are simple shapes such as circles or squares, and they often possess common Tamagotchi character design traits such as prominent lips or stick-like legs.
They were mostly used during the vintage era of Tamagotchi, in which they could be seen on the packaging for the virtual pet devices, Gameboy games, and toys. Although less common, they were still used after Tamagotchi's resurgence, and can be seen on several Connection-era shell designs.

Home Deka Tamagotchi[]
Characters resembling Atafutatchi and Kogyarutchi appear on the Home Deka Tamagotchi for the Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus. When visiting the game center, one of two shop assistants will randomly appear. If Atafutatchi appears, the user can play the matching game. If Kogyarutchi appears, the user can play the heart catch game.

Intellectual comrades plus Afrotchi
- Moaitchi: Shaped like a rectangle with lips. It is named after the Moai statues of Easter island. Sometimes can be seen with legs.
- Hellotchi: Shaped like the letter "H" and has colored ears like Mametchi. Usually seen in a UFO with Moaitchi.
- Atafutatchi: Roundly shaped with lips and legs. It always has a confused expression.
- Jockeytchi: Resembles a beer mug with lips. It is friends with Reizokotchi.
- Rokabiritchi: Roundly shaped with lips, legs, and sunglasses. It likes to dance to rockabilly music.
Stylish Comrades[]
- Kizatchi: Roundly shaped with lips and appendages. It is pretentious.
- Kuchipi-tchi: Roundly shaped with lips and legs. It wears a lip ring and sunglasses.
- Shanneratchi: Roundly shaped with lips, hair, and boots. It is a "Chaneller", devoted to the Chanel brand in heart, body, and soul.
- Kogyarutchi: Roundly shaped with lips, appendages, and ponytail. It wears a miniskirt and loose socks, as a reference to Kogal fashion culture, and is constantly harassed by Obataritchi.
Homely Subjects[]
- Obataris: Roundly shaped with lips, appendages, and hair. They are a group of Tamagotchis that are busybody housewives, always carrying plastic grocery bags.
- Obataritchi: Resembles the Obataris, but bigger. They are an opinionated older Tamagotchi always criticizing Kogyarutchi.
- Reizokotchi: Resembles a fridge. The Obataris respect them above all others.
