Tamagotchi Plaza, known in Japan as Tamagotchi Little Little Shoptchi: Thank You For Waiting! (たまごっちのプチプチおみせっち おまちど~さま! Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisetchi: Omachi Do~Sama!), is a shop simulation video game developed by Hyde and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is considered the next installment in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series.
The game was announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation on March 27th, 2025, revealing it is set to release worldwide on June 27th, 2025. It is being developed for the Nintendo Switch, as well as receiving a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with additional content, upgrades, and mouse functionality.
Gameplay[]
As a continuation of the Corner Shop series, the gameplay consists of working in a variety of shops and completing tasks for customers efficiently to receive good evaluations on their work. High evaluations may lead to the shops being upgraded, with the main goal being to upgrade every shop to a Royal status. Some shops will also have local multiplayer functionality.
The game is shown to be more open than previous titles, with the player able to freely control either Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi or any of the other playable characters between shops to explore and meet a wide variety of Tamagotchi characters from across the franchise. Players can also pick up trash and complete tasks or missions provided by certain characters around Tamahiko Town, as well.
The official website for the game mentions that there will be connectivity with Tamagotchi Uni devices[1], hinting at the possibility of unlocking exclusive items, special events, and unique conversations both in the game and on one's device. However, further details on how the feature works have not yet been revealed.

Trivia[]
- Tamagotchi Plaza is the first Tamagotchi video game to release for a major console since Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisecchi Ninki no Omise Atsumemashita in 2017, and the first on a home console (though, the Switch is considered a hybrid between a handheld and a home console) since Tamagotchi: Dance Fever! in 2007.
- It is also the first console game to release outside of Japan since 2008's Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 in North America and PAL regions.
- Furthermore, it is technically the first Tamagotchi video game to be multi-platform, releasing for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Despite that, it remains exclusive to Nintendo hardware, as there isn't any plans to release the game on PlayStation or Xbox hardware, or on any other digital distribution services such as Steam.
- Due to the length of time between the previous installment and this one, the Japanese subtitle "Thank You For Waiting!" (おまちど~さま! omachi-do sama!) could be seen as a double meaning from both the developers to fans of the series, and as a common phrase from shopkeepers to customers.
- Tamagotchi Plaza is the first Tamagotchi video game to receive an E10+ (Everyone 10 & Up) rating by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board). All previous video games were either rated E (Everyone) or unrated.
