Partner Tamagotchi[]
There are six Tamagotchi characters available to select as the player's Vice Chairperson and can be controlled outside of shops around Tamahiko Town. The player is able to freely switch between them at anytime in the Town Hall; however, despite which Tamagotchi the player is currently partnered with, each shop has a dedicated manager who will run said shop (e.g. if the player chooses Mametchi and enters the Galette Shop, Kuchipatchi will still be the shop manager).

Shop Managers[]
There are 10 shops available to open at the start of the game, with each having a dedicated shop manager. Gozarutchi is a shop manager exclusive to the Switch 2 Edition of the game, as his shops use the Joy-Con 2's unique mouse controls involving the optical sensor.
The shop managers will also appear as regular customers at all of the other shops available.

These Tamagotchi characters appear throughout the story and have more important roles than other characters. All except for Princess Tamako, the Gotchi King and Pariparitchi are logged by default in the Guest List; though, they are filled out after viewing their introduction cutscene.

Shop Guests[]
These Tamagotchi characters usually appear first as customers throughout the various shops, where serving them to their satisfaction will automatically log them in the Guest List. They will then appear throughout Tamahiko Town and have unique dialogue or tasks for the player to help them with, which adds a collectible photo to their entry. There are three photos to obtain for each character.
Note that some characters will not appear at lower-status shops, meaning they must be upgraded for more customers to start appearing.
