A toy called Delicious and Busy! Tamagotchi Restaurant (おいしくっておーいそがし!たまごっちレストラン Oishikutte Oisogashi! Tamagotchi Resutoran) was released in Japan by Bandai on July 28, 2007.
It is a restaurant simulation game, and it features both a 2D pixel screen and 3D playset.
Appearance[]
The toy comes in a flip-top compact that opens to reveal some Tamagotchi figurines. Placing them in different spots activates different actions. There are the traditional three buttons on the playset itself, along with the condiment buttons. The object of the game is to fill out orders.
Gameplay[]
The three different chefs represent three different cuisines. Mametchi cooks Japanese, Memetchi cooks Western and Kuchipatchi cooks Chinese cuisine.
The objective of the game, as well as to fill out orders, is to earn more stars for the player's restaurant by filling out orders. The more stars one earns, the more complicated the menu becomes and the more Gotchi Points are earned.
Players cook by following the 2D pixel screen on the upper side where the chef calls out ingredients over his or her head. They are then tasked with pressing the corresponding ingredients in order to complete the dish. If any of the ingredients are missing, or the dish isn't done quick enough, the chef will still finish up the dish, however the customer will pay less for it.
Players must also make sure to keep their fridges well stocked, as having more ingredients means having the necessary things to be able to prepare the dishes. At the beginning of each dish, the chef will first check the fridge and make a happy or surprised sound accordingly with if the users have the necessary ingredients.
Players keep their fridges stocked by calling up the food market via the phone. Good dishes mean happy customers, and happy customers mean more Gotchi Points and popularity for the restaurant. Since the objective is to reach 5 stars, it is of the utmost importance to satisfy the customers.
