- Not to be confused with Tamastatchi.
Tamastetchi (たまステっち Tamasutetchi) is a male Tamagotchi character. He is normally used for the Tamagotchi Carddass games, and he debuted on the first Tamagotchi Carddass game back in 2007. He appears in the Tamagotchi! anime, and is a non-raisable character on the color releases since the Tamagotchi 4U.
Appearance[]
Tamastetchi resembles the Tamagotchi! Data Carddass machines. He has a white body with skinny white arms, yellow spherical hands, and short yellow feet. He has a pink face, dark around eyes, and a yellow beak. He wears a yellow cap with red trim.
Past Appearance[]
From 2007 until the premiere of the Tamagotchi! anime, Tamastetchi's appearance resembled the past first and second Tamagotchi Data Carddass vending machines. But when the TV anime show Tamagotchi! released Tamastetchi's appearance changed with only one button, and an added Telelin cellphone to talk to Tamagotchi characters. His hat was also changed along with a few minor details.
Personality[]
Tamastetchi can find any Tamagotchi character in his book full of Tamagotchi cards with one card representing one Tamagotchi character in the book. When you want to find someone, you can ask him and he will get the card of that character out of his book and call the person on his Telelin-like cellphone. He will then give you the cellphone to talk to the person.
In the Tamagotchi! anime, Tamastetchi is a friend of Lovelitchi/Lovelin, and he later becomes friends with Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi as well. Tamastetchi often appears to help out when Mametchi and his friends are searching for someone or something.

Starting in season 2, he would feature in a segment after the next episode preview where he would briefly announce the tamagotchi of the day, showing off their character card and giving a fact about them.
He first appeared in "Get Ready! The Big Race on Tama Street" officiating the race on Tama Street with Lovelin. In "Tama-Lucky Lottery" he is seen running the lottery stand with Belltchi, encouraging people to play in the lottery and redeeming tickets so people can try the slot machine. In "Battle On! The Great Donut Contest!", He is officiating the Homemade Donut Contest and calling up the contestants to presents their donuts. He gradually becomes disappointed and nervous from how bad each contestant's entry is.
He uses his calling ability for the first time in "It Might Be Good~! Uranaitchi's Divination" when Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, and Makiko ask him for help in finding Uranaitchi. He keeps up the act until he realizes how Telelin could be hurt in the process and admits to his family how he isn't ready to get married yet, which they accept.
Telelin and Pashalin consult Tamastetchi for help in "A Mysterious Photo of Patchi Forest?". They ask him how to get rid of a ghost's curse and he directs them to find a power spot in Patchi Forest.
