Teletchi (テレっち Teretchi) is a baby stage character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Osutchi and Mesutchi in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 internationally.
Name Origin[]
Teletchi's name is derived from the Japanese word 照れる tereru, which means to feel bashful or shy.
Appearance[]
Teletchi resembles a round ball with a face, with a top that has two antennas sticking upward. In its original artwork, Teletchi has a red body and thick antennas. In its modern artwork, the antennas are thinner and Teletchi's gender is differentiated by body color; female Teletchi are light red with orange cheeks, while male Teletchi have a dark blue body, light blue antennas, and white eyes and mouth.

Teletchi is bashful and just can't seem to make friends, but really just wants to play with everyone and get along.

Tamagotchi Osutchi and Mesutchi[]
Teletchi is a TMP2 baby that can be born with many different combinations of adults. It is guaranteed to be born when either Pyonchitchi or Bunbuntchi marries Kikotchi or Gankotchi, or when Pyonkotchi or Bunkotchi marries Kiwitchi or Megatchi. It has a 50% chance of being born if Marumimitchi or Mimikotchi marries an adult of a higher TMP. It also has a 50% chance of being born if Pyonchitchi or Bunbuntchi marry Billkotchi, Kiwitchi or Megatchi marry Piratchi, Pyonkotchi or Bunkotchi marry Billotchi, or Kikotchi or Gankotchi marry Hiratchi.
After the parents leave, Teletchi will remain as a baby for one day and make a total of three discipline calls before evolving to Puchitchi. If its weight is high, its natural sickness will occur two hours before evolution is due instead of ten minutes before. Teletchi loses a heart every 30 minutes, sleeps from 8 PM to 9 AM, and its base weight is 5g.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]
Teletchi can be male or female at random at the start of each generation. A male Teletchi born from marrying Ojitchi and Otokitchi will always evolve into Oyajitchi. Teletchi's favorite food is cupcakes, and dislikes tacos.

Trivia[]
- With the release of the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3, Teletchi was given alternate coloring for the male variation. While Bandai's official growth chart does not give the two different names, the female version is sometimes called "Shiroteletchi" (しろテレっち), or alternatively, the male is called "KuroTeletchi" (くろテレっち). These names were used primarily by the fanbase until the 2024 version of the Tamagotchi Connection; international websites use these names, while the Japanese sites still refer to them as "Teletchi", only noting one being male and the other female.
- In the Tamagotchi 25th Anniversary book released in December 2021, the modern-style male Teletchi artwork is used in the Osutchi and Mesutchi character section instead of the red one, making it his first appearance in Japanese media.
