The Last Tama-Mizuki (最後のたまミズキ Saigo no Tamamizuki) is the 123rd episode of the Tamagotchi! anime. It is the first episode of season 7.
Synopsis[]
The Tama-Mizuki is a tree known for blossoming beautiful flowers. In the old days, there was a whole forest of them that would create a beautiful sight when they bloomed, but over time, the trees started dying until there was just one left. Upon learning this, Mametchi, Chamametchi, and their Tama-Friends explore the region around the Tama-Mizuki to try and find a way to save it.[1]
Plot[]
One morning in the Mame Family's house, Papamametchi is reading the newspaper. He notices an article announcing that the last Tama-Mizuki tree has stopped flowering, which piques Mametchi's curiosity. He asks about the tree, and Papamametchi explains: There used to be a beautiful forest full of Tama-Mizuki trees, but they started dying one after another until there was only one left. And now, it doesn't blossom anymore. Mamametchi laments because she remembers how pretty the flowers used to be.
Chamametchi and Hapihapitchi overheard the conversation, and they want to see the flowers. Papamametchi says he will be too busy at MameMame Laboratory that day, and the two girls are sad until Mametchi points out that Lovelitchi can take them instead. So Lovelitchi takes Mametchi, Chamametchi, Hapihapitchi, Melodytchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, Kizunatchi, Flowertchi, and Telelin to the tree in her Lovelin Car. On the way, they pass through a huge field of flowers, and Flowertchi points out that the Tamagotchis of Hana Hana Village help them thrive.
Eventually, they arrive at a barren span of ground where the Tama-Mizuki is. They notice that the tree is covered in moss and vines, and lacks any life. But then Chamametchi notices some tiny flowers on the top branches, and the friends gain hope that the last tree won't die. Kizunatchi and Hapihapitchi fly up for a closer look, and Hapihapitchi notices villages in opposite directions in the distance. She tells Mametchi, who decides that they should visit one of the villages in case they understand what happened to the trees.
They soon arrive at Hana Hana Village, where they meet a Tamagotchi carrying a large bouquet of flowers. It is Midotetchi, and since he doesn't know who they are, he thinks they're meant to be at Kaze Kaze Village instead, So, the group of friends make their way to the other village. Before they can arrive, a gust of wind blows Chamametchi's yellow bow into the air. Hapihapitchi tries to catch it, but Harukazetchi catches it before her. Hapihapitchi accidentally crashes into her, causing them both to fall to the ground. Chamametchi rushes to the newcomer while Mametchi checks on Hapihapitchi. Hapihapitchi is upset that Chamametchi was worried about the stranger instead of her.
Harukazetchi returns Chamametchi's bow and introduces herself. Chamametchi says she is sorry that Hapihapitchi crashed into her. Hapihapitchi isn't pleased, insisting that it isn't her fault and it only happened because Chamametchi lost her bow. The two of them get into an argument and then refuse to speak to each other. This reminds Harukazetchi of her village's relationship with Hana Hana Village, and how she was told that it was because that village was to blame for the forest dying. Mametchi and the gang return to Hana Hana Village to get more answers from Midotetchi, but he says that it is actually Kaze Kaze Village's fault which confuses them.
While Mametchi and the others are back at the tree and trying to figure out what to do, he notices something amongst the moss on the tree. He climbs up the tree and starts pulling away the moss and vines, revealing two murals that resemble Harukazetchi and Midotetchi. Midotetchi arrives, but he is angry to see Harukazetchi with Mametchi and the others. She panics and starts to fly away, but the friends urge her to stay. Meanwhile, Mametchi tries to stop Midotetchi from walking away, and tells him to look at the tree. He stops when he notices the murals look like himself and Harukazetchi. Flowertchi thinks she knows why the trees started dying. The murals prove that the trees used to live off the bond between Hana Hana and Kaze Kaze villagers, and since the two villages grew distant from one another, the trees started to wither. Midotetchi says the idea is stupid, but Harukazetchi agrees with Flowertchi and thinks the two villages should reunite. Midotetchi is still stubborn and starts to walk away again, but as he is heading home, he finds himself thinking about Harukazetchi.
Meanwhile, Flowertchi encourages everyone to try restoring the tree. They all work together to pull up the overgrown grass and tear away the moss and vines, but they start having trouble. Soon, however, Midotetchi comes back, and he gives them advice on how to clear away the unwanted greenery. He starts helping to remove the vines from the tree, and Harukazetchi thanks him for coming back to help, to which he blushes. Harukazetchi, Hapihapitchi, and Kizunatchi use their flight to help the flowers' pollen blow in the breeze.
They keep working until sunset, but then a group of members from each village come to fetch Harukazetchi and Midotetchi. Both of their dads start trying to drag them away, and the elders of each village are angry at seeing the other. Mametchi quickly tries to interject, trying to explain that they were working on saving the last Tama-Mizuki. Harukazetchi and Midotetchi point out the murals carved into the tree, but the elders still state that Hana Hana Village and Kaze Kaze Village can never be together. Meanwhile, Chamametchi and Hapihapitchi are working together to remove a dead branch caught in the tree's roots. They are finally friends again, and apologize to each other for arguing. Hapihapitchi admits she was wrong and apologizes to Harukazetchi as well. The elders notice this display, and Mametchi asks them how the villages got on such bad terms anyway.
The elder of Hana Hana Village explains that whenever they were planting seeds, the Kaze Kaze Villagers would blow the seeds all over the place because of their wind powers. The elder of Kaze Kaze Village objects, stating that they needed to fly around the trees to spread the flowers' pollen. They start arguing on whose fault it was the the forest withered away, and Harukazetchi and Midotetchi point out it was both of their faults. The only way to have any hope of restoring the forest is to unite again, to which the elders finally agree. Then members of both villages join in the efforts to restore the last tree. The Kaze Kaze Villagers fly off to bring a large rain cloud to the tree. It rains on the tree tree to help revive it.
When it is done, the tree starts to glow. The two murals on the tree turn into relic plates, from which two types of Tama Hearts emerge: the Wind Heart and the Flower Heart. After Lovelitchi and Melodytchi collect the hearts on their Tama Profys, the tree grows into full bloom, and Flowertchi says that the tree has gained new heart as everyone admires the beautiful new blossoms.
