This article is about the character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus. You may be looking for Flowertchi from the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2.

Violetchi (known as Flowertchi (ふらわっち Furawatchi) in Japan and in the anime) is an adult character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2 internationally.

Appearance

Violetchi has a pink body and a wide head, with round eyes with eyelashes, and dark pink blush. She has two flowers on top of her head, one yellow, and one green.

Personality

Violetchi is softhearted and easygoing, and is very knowledgeable about flowers and gardening. She has a profound understanding of flowers and their individual meaning, to the point that she uses them to help guide herself and her friends through them. Aside from flowers, Violetchi loves the color pink, drawing, and going on bike rides.

Violetchi's personality could be considered to contain yurufuwa (ゆるふわ)-type qualities. The term "yurufuwa" is a combination of "yurui"/"yuruyuru" (ゆるい/ゆるゆる loose, lenient, easygoing) and "fuwari"/"fuwafuwa" (ふわり/ふわふわ light, gentle, soft) and refers to something that is relaxing, easygoing, warm and gentle, which effectively sums up Violetchi's nature.

In Virtual Pets

Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus

Violetchi is obtained with perfect care on odd generations. If married to a Mametchi, the offspring they produce will have the chance to evolve into Paparatchi, if it evolves into Dorotchi at the adult stage. On the Akai, it is replaced with Ribotchi.

Tamagotchi Connection V2 and V3

Violetchi is one of three possible adults obtained in odd generations with perfect care.

Entama/Tamagotchi Connection V4

Violetchi is a female Meme Group adult that evolves from either Young Memetchi or Ichigotchi with a high amount of Social Skill Points. On the Version 4, she should have been given average care or better, with a total of at least 60 skill points.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 4.5

Violetchi is a female Universal Group adult that evolves from either UFOtchi or Ichigotchi.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5

Violetchi is a Smart Family adult that evolves from any female teen given mostly Smart foods and toys, and with a Bonding percentage between 40% and 70%. Upon normal marriage conditions, she evolves into Mamametchi. If the family's Bonding reaches 100% and a Sukatchi is brought for her to marry, she will instead evolve into MamaVioletchi, the Sukatchi will evolve into Papakizatchi, and the next generation will be the Violet Family.

Tamagotchi m!x

On the first generation of every version, Violetchi can be raised from any female teen with either 5-6 care mistakes, or by changing My Town's theme to Floral by using items from Flower Hills repeatedly.

As a potential marriage partner, Violetchi appears on every version. She appears in Flower Hills on every version except for the Gift version, where she appears in Tamagotchi Town instead.

Tamagotchi On

Violetchi is a potential marriage partner that appears on the Magic, Fairy, Sanrio, and Fantasy versions, as a resident of Tama Farm. On the Pastel version, she is replaced with Flower Fleur. Her favorite items are the Plant Tools and the Unicycle.

The Japanese version uses her original pink body color, while international versions use her modified violet color. These color differences are reflected in family photos when connecting, and in the body color genetics she may pass down.

In the Anime

Flowertchi is a minor character in the Tamagotchi anime series.

In Let's Go! Tamagotchi, Flowertchi has trouble making friends as she is too focused on tending to the school's flower garden, only coming out of her shell following an incident with Memetchi. Since then, Flowertchi became increasingly social and more popular with her other classmates.

In the Tamagotchi! anime series, Flowertchi appears as a recurring character alongside with Mametchi and his friends. She is is often seen with Makiko and Memetchi. She hates it when they fight and often uses flowers to help her settle their argument. At one point in the series, she has a short crush on Gozarutchi.

In Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream and GO-GO Tamagotchi!, Flowertchi only makes background appearances.

Flowertchi also made an appearance in the McDonalds OVAs , where she worked alongside Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi to assist Makdotchi.

Her best friends are Melodytchi, Memetchi, Mametchi, Makiko, Lovelitchi, Kuchipatchi, and Ringotchi.

International Name and Design Changes

Violetchi blue

Violetchi as depicted from the V4 onwards.

"Flowertchi" made her international debut on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2. However, the official character chart sent to TamaTalk.com showed the character with no official artwork and named "Korotchi", with a different character named Flowertchi instead.

With the release of the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3, another character chart was sent to TamaTalk by Bandai. On this chart, the character was named "Leaftchi", had a green body instead of pink, and the green flower was changed to light blue. Despite the change, the character has her normal appearance in the Tamagotchi V3 commercial.

Starting from the Tamagotchi Connection Version 4 onward, the character has been named "Violetchi", and has been depicted as having a violet body instead of pink. This change stuck and was kept consistent with subsequent releases, including vartiants of the character (such as Ura Violetchi). This change was maintained for the Tamagotchi On, with Violetchi's body color for her sprite being altered on international versions. However, in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2, she maintains her pink coloration while keeping the Violetchi name.

The character's appearance and Japanese name are left intact in all dubs of the anime.

Bandai has not released any statement regarding her international name and design changes, although she has her Violetchi name and purple color in My Tamagotchi Forever.
