Welcotchi (うぇるこっち) is a male child-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Tamagotchi Uni worldwide.

Welcotchi may be derived from Welsh Corgi, given his canid appearance and speech patterns.
Appearance[]
Welcotchi has a round, potato-shaped body with stubby hands and feet. His body is mostly black with his belly, hands, feet, and tail tip being white. He has large pointy ears, curls of hair on his forehead, and a tail. His eyes and pupils are fully circular.
Personality[]
Welcotchi likes looking at his Tama Friends and because of this, he knows all the good things about them. He ends his sentences with "wafu".

Welcotchi is a child stage character, evolving from Yooyutchi with happiness above 10 points. After 24 hours, he will evolve into either Kuriritchi (15-20 happiness points), Gunchitchi (6-14 happiness points), or Curltchi (happiness below 5 points). His hunger decreases by one every 45 minutes while his happiness decreases every 20 minutes. He goes to sleep at 8 PM.

Welcotchi appears in "Leave It All to the Master Babysitter!", where the caretaker is too busy to attend to her Tamagotchi so she calls Sitter Poketchi. The sitter then arrives and plays with him. When the caretaker returns, she sees Welcotchi asleep with the sitter.

- In an official panel at San Diego Comic Con 2024, Asaki Murami, member of the Tamagotchi Product Development team, revealed that Welcotchi was designed after her own welsh corgi dog named "Pants".[1]
