Wooltchi (うーるっち Ūrutchi) is a character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2 internationally. While introduced in Japan as a costume exclusive to Kurokotchi, Wooltchi appears in all English releases as a standalone adult, in some cases alongside Kurokotchi.
Name Origin[]
Wooltchi's name comes from the English word "wool", a textile fiber obtained from sheep. His Japanese name comes from the word "uru", which translates to "wool".
Appearance[]
Wooltchi resembles Kurokotchi wearing sheep's wool all over his body, leaving only his face and limbs visible, as well as two small, black ears on top. Wooltchi that originate from Makkakka Town have a red outline, and his face's color is a warm shade of purple.
Personality[]
A costumed Tamagotchi that takes on a bright and cheerful persona. However, it is fundamentally still Kurokotchi in a disguise. Kurokotchi's normal demeanor is silent and introverted, but in the Wooltchi costume Kurokotchi's taciturn personality changes completely.

Keitai Tamagotchi Plus and Akai[]
Wooltchi is a costume character that can only be obtained by putting the "Wool" costume item on Kurokotchi. Once applied, Kurokotchi will remain as Wooltchi until the costume is removed by selecting the Wool from the item menu again. Wooltchi sleeps from 11 PM to 10 AM.
Tamagotchi Connection V2 and V3[]
Wooltchi is a Frail adult that can be obtained on even generations. Wooltchi has no defined gender, goes to bed at 9 P.M. and wakes up at 9 A.M. Its favorite food is crackers on the Version 2, and pie on the Version 3. On both versions, it dislikes omelettes.
Tamagotchi Connection V6 Music Star[]
Wooltchi can sometimes be seen in the crowd when the Tamagotchi's band performs at a concert.
Tamatown Tama-Go[]
Wooltchi is a male adult, generally obtained from good care with medium to high training.
Tamagotchi Smart[]
Wooltchi is a raisable adult exclusive to the Kei-Tama TamaSma Card for the Tamagotchi Smart. He is obtained from any male teen by playing with the Cotton item the most out of other card content.

Kurokotchi is Wooltchi without the sheep costume. On the Ketai and Akai, Wooltchi can revert back to Kurokotchi if the Wool Costume item is used again.

- Despite Wooltchi being Kurokotchi wearing a sheep costume, both of them are seperate characters obtainable on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3.
- On the online Tamatown for V3, a sad Wooltchi could be seen standing outside the bank.
- Wooltchi appeared on the Tamagotchi iD L 15th Anniversary Version Character Poll as a male adult candidate, but didn't get enough votes to be on the roster.
