World Tamagotchi Tour

The World Tamagotchi Tour is an exhibition event to promote the Tamagotchi Uni before and during its launch. The tour made stops in Japan, France, and the United States and generally featured an exhibit of Tamagotchi toys and free promotional merchandise.

We Can Meet! You Can Play! Tamagotchi Tour[]

From July 14th to August 27th, an interactive event was held at Mitsui Shopping Park LalaPort and Mitsui Outlet in various cities in Japan. The cities included Koshien, Izumi, EXPOCITY, Sakai, Kadoma, and Ryou. Each location had a Tamagotchi mascot character created based off the city the event took place:

Koushientchi - Themed after the Koshien baseball stadium
Izumitchi - Themed after a famous glass studio in Izumi
Expotchi - Themed after the style of figures created in Suita
Sakaitchi - Themed after the Mozu Burial Grounds in Sakai
Kadomatchi - Themed after lotus roots which are used in Kadoma's cuisine
Ryuotchi - Themed after Biwa Lake in Ryou

Activities included a stamp rally which had visitors following clues to collect stamps around the facility. The mascot characters were on the rally collection paper and standees of them could be found near clues. Visitors could also try out the Tamagotchi Uni and get World Tamagotchi Tour stickers in the process.

Tamagotchi Uni Trial Sessions[]

At various stores selling the Tamagotchi Uni, visitors can try out the Tamagotchi Uni and get World Tamagotchi Tour stickers. Mametchi visors and Uni fans are also available to take and some locations have Mametchi or Kuchipatchi mascot costumes walking around.

Japan Expo Paris 2023[]

A section of Bandai's space at the Japan Expo in Paris, France featured a Tamagotchi booth themed after the Tamagotchi Uni. The booth had display cases of currently sold Tamagotchi and visitors had the chance to buy the Tamagotchi Uni early. Mametchi visors, Uni themed fans, and stickers featuring the original Tamagotchi were given out along with World Tamagotchi Tour stickers containing codes for exclusive items. There were also Tamaverse photo props and a Mametchi mascot costume walking around the area.

United States[]

San Diego Comic Con 2023[]

The Tamagotchi booth at the Comic Con in San Diego, California was themed after the World Tamagotchi Tour and had a giant UFO balloon above the booth. There were display cases of Tamagotchi sold currently and in the past along with a giant original Tamagotchi displaying various messages and animations. Like other Tour locations, there were Tamaverse photo props and a Mametchi mascot costume walking around. Purchase of any Tamagotchi or merchandise came with a World Tamagotchi Tour tote bag and a Tama Sticker.
