Yabetchi (やべっち) is a character that appears exclusively on the Tamagotchi Meets app.
Name Origin[]
Yabetchi is named and based on Japanese comedian Hiroyuki Yabe, who is one half of the comedy duo Ninety-nine.
Appearance[]
Yabetchi resembles a human man with brown hair and a white beard. He wears white robes with a pink belt and heart, a ribbon with a heart on his forehead, rides on a pink cloud, has a large pink heart outline floating over his head, and holds a pink heart-shaped staff.
Personality[]
This strange creature is always with Okazarutchi. Is he a guardian angel or cupid or something? He's trying to help Okazarutchi find a partner, but he ends up playing the "straight man" to Okazarutchi's antics.

Tamagotchi Meets[]
Yabetchi appears as the "parent" of Okazarutchi in the family portrait. On the Tamagotchi Meets app, Yabetchi could be interacted with during the Ninety-Nine x Tamagotchi event and would offer Okazarutchi to marry, replacing Applitchi.
